Bio:
I graduated with a bachelors in Biology from James Madison University in Virginia. I received my masters in occupational therapy from Medical University of South Carolina. After graduation, I began working in an outpatient clinic working with hand injuries. This background allows me to have a diverse knowledge to address handwriting. When my husband and I moved to Colorado in 2014, I decided to move into the school setting, where my true heart was. A few years into working for the school system, I graduated with my doctorate in occupational therapy. Handwriting instruction has become an integral part of my work in the school setting. I have noticed how difficulties with handwriting can affect all areas of a student's academics. I went on to become a certified therapist in the Size Matters Handwriting Program as well as a Level 1 Handwriting Without Tears Specialist. Oftentimes I get referrals from teachers and families of a student with poor handwriting, however they do not meet the requirements for school based occupational therapy leaving me unable to work with them. Working for a small school district in Colorado, I had no one to refer these families to get help for their children. That's why I developed Handwriting Help to give these children the help they need with handwriting. I have a passion on seeing students succeed with handwriting and I would love to help your child!
